Who We Are
Welcome to Girls on the Run of Charlotte - a life-changing, non-profit prevention program for girls in the 3rd through 8th grade. Our mission is "to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living."
Girls on the Run combines training for a 5K (3.1 miles) running race with healthy living education. Our programs instill self-esteem and strong values through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training - all of which are accomplished through an active collaboration with girls and their parents, schools, volunteers, staff, and the community.
Girls on the Run of Charlotte is an Affiliate Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of 150 + locations across the United States and Canada.
What's New
Fall Season
Registration for the Girls on the Run fall season will be held the week of August 30, 2010 through September 3, 2010. The season will begin the week of September 13, 2010. For a map of our fall program locations click here.
2010 Ramblin' Rose Women Only Triathlon Tour
Girls on the Run is proud to be the official benefactor of the Ramblin' Rose Charlotte Triathlon! Join us Sunday, September 26 at this amazing event as a participant or volunteer!
